*** UPDATE *** Petey was adopted at 4:54pm on Sunday, 4/14.
Hi Everyone! It’s Me! Bug! Sorry for the late night post, but one of my human’s friends was over and talking about Petey. He was turned into the shelter because his human entered hospice, and couldn’t care for him anymore. The problem is, Petey was never really socialized as a puppy, so he doesn’t do very well with other dogs. But he does GREAT with Humans!
Right now, Petey is very scared and confused. He doesn’t know where he is or why he is there. He just wants to lay down in a warm bed next to his human. Well, it’s probably better if I just let you see what Petey had to say…
“It’s me Petey I was turned into the shelter because my owner went into hospice, and I’m very confused, it’s very scary and loud in here. I’m sitting in a little kennel with not much room to move around in. I want to sleep on my own warm bed again.

Petey has a lot of humans rooting for him, specifically at the Phoenix Doggie Hotline. You can call them at 520-800-4633 if you want to know even more about Petey.
Ideally, he is looking for his forever home, but if you’re not ready to adopt but could foster him so he can get out of the shelter, you could do a great thing and save a dog’s life! You can see in his pictures what a sweet boy he is!
